It is distinguished by its modular design. It has Integral molded PCB guides for Base PCB and auxiliary Vertical & Horizontal PCBs. Modular construction of enclosure provides ease in design and servicing of Instrument. It is ideal for housing Electrical, Electronics & Electromechanical small devises like I/O circuits, relays, timers, transducers, transmitters, Sensing and Motoring Devices.

The system:
Enclosure assembly consists of 35,70,105,140 mm Foot Profile with End pieces and Top cover fixed with screws. Base PCB slides in to Foot Profile. Enclosure has Integral molded PCB guides for auxiliary Vertical & Horizontal PCBs inside Top Covers and End pieces. Wall bracket provides mounting of complete assembly on wall.

Comparative study between Profile PCB Holders V/S Modular PCB Holders

Many of the customers ask the difference / advantages between the Profile PCB Holders V/S Modular PCB Holders as both are used for same application i.e. to mount PCB on DIN Rail as well as on Panel

Profile PCB Holders        Modular PCB Holders

1. Profile PCB Holders has no restriction on length of holders as it can be cut to any length. Modular PCB Holder cannot be used for custom length.
2. Profile PCB Holder has more strength as the support is in single piece where as modular has many pieces.
3. Modular PCB Holders are suitable for small production lot. Profile PCB Holders needs cutting so there is some minimum quantity requirement.
4. Modular PCB Holders inventory is less as the pieces / members are common so can used for many different sizes of PCBs.
5. Profile PCB Holders needs cutting facility at customer end if supplied in 1mt or 2mt length. Modular needs no cutting.
6. Profile PCB Holders is in single piece, straight one piece so PCB slides smoothly, Modular PCB holders in longer PCB slides little tight and may induce stress on it.
7. For Long PCB the Profile PCB Holders are ideal choice.
8. Height available for components below PCB is more in Profile Holders.
9. Profile PCB Holders are priced lower then Modular PCB Holders

How to get more inside space in enclosure while designing Din Rail Mounted products?

It is common experience that in designing a Instrumentation, automotive industry or home/building automation product such as PLC, Relays, Timers, Transducers, Transmitters, I/O circuits....or any other electrical / electronic product designer feels they should be allowed more inside space keeping the standards. Design engineers feel space crunch to accommodate all their circuits and components inside Din Rail Enclosure.

The easy solution is to have standard enclosure height as 108mm instead of 86mm keeping width same as Modular Enclosures. More height provides more inside space and occupies less rail space.

The Din Rail Enclosure Standard allows 108mm height in the enclosure which can be fitted on Din Rail fitted on panel or in junction box with display along with other MMI, MCB...

The Standard 108mm heighted Modulbox-Dualmount series is designed to provide extra space in Din Rail Enclosure.

 

Modulbox-Dualmount - 22.5, 70, 157 series of Modulboxes having 108mm height are standard Din Rail Enclosures are ideal for use in small, medium to large devices such as PLC. It is designed as per DIN 43880. It has cover face of 45mm high enables it to mount within large international style enclosures / distribution system with 45 mm cutouts like MCB. Modulbox offers wide designing option with three ways in PCB mounting and with customer specific solution in termination / connectors.

Keep 73mm / 108mm width standard for Din Rail Mounting or Panel mounting PCBs

Dear all,

I share my experience to fellow PCB designer that when designing stand alone PCB which needs to be mounted on Din Rail or simply on Panel with the help of standard hardware available in market then they needs to fix their PCB width either 73mm or 108mm. Many times designer makes mistake of designing PCB as per application and then check for hardware to mount it, some times they need to re layout all over again their PCB to use standard Din Rail Mounting OR Panel Mounting hardware available internationally.

This is well known in PCBs for Standard interface modules for Din Connectors, Sub Miniature Din Connectors, Flat Cable Connectors also Modules like Relay modules, Opto - coupler modules, Switch modules, Fuse modules, Diode modules, Veristor Modules, Power supply modules, Over Voltage protection modules, Data Transmission & Receiver Modules, Analog/ Digital Converter etc

Profile PCB Holders provides quick & easy mounting of PCBs on all three rails (35, 15, G) & Wall / Panel. It is used to mount standard 73mm and 108mm width PCBs. Mounting of Profile PCB Holders:

DIN Rail Mounting: The Profile is mounted on DIN rail with help of 2 or more Foot Piece; It slides into grooves on the extrusion. Two End Pieces are fixed with screws on extrusion to hold PCB securely in place and to keep out foreign objects.

Panel Mounting: To panel mount, Two Panel Mont End Pieces which has an integral mounting flange with a 5.5x 7.5mm hole slot. There is no need of Foot Pieces in Panel mounting.

Note: Save time by ordering Kit with our assembled Profile Holders, made from profile extensions cut to size and two End Sections. They can be ordered for DIN rail or panel mounting for custom length.
